About Graeme

My Osteopathy qualifications and experience

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and have BSc(Hons) degree in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy. I have over 20 years' experience in treating a wide spectrum of patients including adults, pregnant women, children, the elderly and a number of top level sportsmen / women.

I have a professional background in health and personal fitness training and I bring this experience to enhance my Osteopathic skills, regular exercise and getting outdoors in amongst nature play a big part in my life.

I have recently become qualified to use a Shockwave Therapy machine to treat lots of additional conditions and believe it will help many of you who suffer with types of pain that pure Osteopathy just can't treat. I am proud to be one of a few who can offer this treatment in Bristol.

Treatment techniques

I treat in a 'hands-on' way that is non-invasive using my hands or elbows and using a variety of techniques like manipulation, mobilisations and soft tissue massage type techniques. Dry needling can also be used where appropriate for certain musculoskeletal conditions. Patient consent is always obtained. The Shockwave Therapy is the only piece of equipment I use.

Outside of Osteopathy

You may find me cold water swimming (no wetsuit obviously- sanity check sometimes needed) in Clevedon Marine Lake...the chillier the better, running with my dog Guinness at silly o'clock in the morning around Leigh Woods or climbing waterfalls and running the 'Bog Gauntlet' on the Mendips. Any excuse to get wet and muddy in the Great Outdoors!
